In an Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts she could have avoided, Rachel Homan appears out to make amends. Homan has company at the top as Hollie Duncan, the Toronto skip who won the 2018 championship, is also at 3-0. Murphy, who qualified for the semifinal at last year’s provincials in Elmira, led her Mississauga-based team to a 9-2 win over Megan Balsdon. Hall won the 2017 and 2018 Ontario Junior championships and last year and threw second stones for Tyler Tardi’s world junior championship team. Ferris is in his second provincials as a skip.
