KOTA KINABALU: A man was killed after suffering severe head injuries when he was flung out of his car during a test drag race in Sandakan on Sunday. It is learnt that the victim known only as ‘Fah Yin’ among friends, was preparing for the annual drag race in conjunction with the upcoming festive holidays. Sandakan police chief ACP Azhar Hamin said the victim lost control of his car at a stretch of the track, and slammed into the road shoulder. “The car then overturned and crashed into a concrete drain,” he said in a statement Monday. He said the victim was flung out of the car during the incident and was believed to have died on the spot.
