Eight people, including the latest arrests, from the harness racing industry in Queensland have been charged with offences involving rigged races or betting irregularities. Investigators have regularly been receiving information from members of the harness industry, according to Mr Barnett. The arrest of Mr Graham and two others were described as "yet another milestone" in the extensive investigation conducted by the Queensland Racing Crime Squad and Queensland Racing Integrity Commission. The offence of engaging in match-fixing conduct was added to the state's criminal code in 2014 and carries a maximum penalty of 10 years' imprisonment.
