SPCA Auckland received an anonymous tip about a "sick" rabbit at an Auckland property. The SPCA team worked hard to revive the drugged rabbit, however, after a few days it became apparent the rabbit had lost brain function and died as a result, a Facebook post from Auckland SPCA said. Reid said animals inhaling or ingesting illicit drugs was not an uncommon issue.
