has been thinking too much about pro wrestling since at least WrestleMania I, and blogging about it for SBNation & Cageside Seats since around WrestleMania 28. WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam and his wife Katie Forbes announced back in June that they were expecting. The news came not long after RVD’s long-time friend and colleague Sabu died, and the legendary hardcore wrestler was still on Van Dam’s mind as he told the world that “a big part of me was lost when we lost Sabu,” but that the new addition (which we soon found out would be additions) to the family was evidence that ”the universe has a funny way of balancing out.“Yesterday (Dec. 26), Van Dam and Forbes introduced their daughters Karma and Saba to the world:Fans quickly made the connection between Saba and Sabu, and RVD quickly confirmed it was intentional:The twins’ birth apparently went well, which is good to hear since Forbes was hospitalized for preeclampsia (a potentially serious complication that usually initially presents as high-blood pressure). RVD told TMZ recently that his wife would be induced at 34 weeks, meaning the girls were “Christmas babies” instead of being born in 2026. All the more reason to send our congratulations to the Van Dam family for doubling in size!
