According to the police, Vikky Shetty alias Balakrishna Shetty, a gangster who currently lives abroad, was contracted to carry out the murder by local suspects. Investigators now claim that the two alleged killers were contracted by gangster Vikky Shetty. Further, a Toyota Qualis car linked to Shenoy was allegedly used by the killers before and after the murder. According to the probe, two of Shenoy’s employees — Shrikanth Moolya and Vignesh Nayak — allegedly acted as intermediaries for the killers. Shetty, in turn, is alleged to have deployed two of his henchmen — Vineeth Poojary (26) and Nishith Devadiga (23) — for the job.
