Rasheed BisiriyuThe Road Transport Employers’ Association of Nigeria, Lagos State branch, has threatened to expel any of its members found engaging in violence during the forthcoming elections. Lagos State Chairman of the association, Alhaji Mohammed Musa, who sounded the warning at a rally gave in Lagos, also urged RTEAN members to cast their votes in a peaceful manner in the February 16 presidential/National Assembly elections and the March 2 governorship/state House of Assembly elections. He urged RTEAN members to desist from all forms of violence, urging them to use their Permanent Voter Cards to choose the government that would serve their interest. The rally was held to encourage members who had yet to collect their PVCs to visit the Independent National Electoral Commission office for the card ahead of the elections. The RTEAN boss said, “Today, we’re organising all our members throughout Lagos State for the ‘Operation Show Your Voter Card’ to show the nation that we are ready for the elections.
