An RTÉ staff member has tested positive for Covid-19, Independent.ie has learned. Employees were emailed this afternoon to inform them one of their colleagues had contracted the virus. They were told a deep clean is under way in the area of Montrose where the staff member works. RTE health correspondent Feargal Bowers tweeted: “Very best wishes on a speedy recovery to our colleague in RTE has Covid-19 and is safe at home.”“We are all in his together, in the national effort to overcome the impact of the virus,” he added.
