According to the RSS assessment, the BJP could get 210-220 seats and the NDA 240-250 seats in the 543-member Lok Sabha, Sangh sources said. The BJP alone had won 282 seats in 2014, a performance party chief Amit Shah claims it will better. The RSS has a strong network of cadres on the ground, and its projection is based on their feedback. The BSP-SP-RLD alliance was inflicting a substantial damage on the BJP in Uttar Pradesh, this leader added. Feedback from the ground had then enthused the BJP, with the party confident the nationalistic euphoria over the strikes would sway voters in its favour.
