The workers began demonstrating around 9am on Thursday for the fifth consecutive day, demanding changes to a newly-announced wage structure. "Before calling off their strikes, the workers protested non-violently in Kalshi and Sawrapara areas," he said. The government, garment industry owners and workers' representatives have been trying to solve the problem for the last few days. The workers took the streets after claiming that authorities have been delaying the implementation of their demands for the past two months.
