The workers of Rakib Fashion Limited, which is closed now, took to the streets on Sunday morning and staged demonstrations by blocking Singair-Hemayetpur Road. Meanwhile, the workers came to know that they would not be paid on April 13 as well and the matter enraged them. Superintendent of Police (SP) Sana Saminur Rahman of Dhaka industrial police 1 (Ashulia zone) said they are trying to bring the situation under control. The demonstration of workers took place in such a situation when the government declared general holiday across the country to combat the deadly coronavirus pandemic.
