RMG factory owners will get a compliance certification after the completion of the Initial Corrective Action Plans (CAP) stipulated by the Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh on Monday. The Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh was signed on 15 May 2013. “The Accord agreed to provide certificates to factories as remediated after the completion of initial CAPs. After the completion of initial CAPs, the accord is adding new CAPs with the previous ones during follow up inspections, said the BGMEA leader. During the meeting, other issues were discussed such as terming a group non-compliance in case of unsafe conditions at a single factory.
