KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia aims to retrieve the RM28bil (US$7bil) in misappropriated funds from 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) from various countries, says Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. “I heard about this, and I think they know it is our money, so they will give back our money. “Singapore will also give back our money. We are hoping to get back US$7bil,” he said after chairing the Pakatan Harapan presidential council meeting yesterday, where the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission briefed council members. “We have yet to agree to what we have been briefed about,” he said.
