The incumbent and former officers of the garrison city’s development authority are on the radar of the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE). Around seven officers of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) are nominated in different cases of errant approval of land for private housing societies. Sources told The Express Tribune that more cases of graft are in pipeline against RDA officials which will emerge in the coming days. Further, RDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood and Director General (DG) Ammara Khan have directed to follow a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. RDA Planning Deputy Director Tahir Meo, Assistant Director Samiullah Niazi, Deputy Director Muhammad Ijaz, and a building inspector are already named in an FIR.
