The RCMP major crimes and forensic units are investigating the sudden death of a man east of Sherwood Park. About a dozen police officers were sifting through the snow in the ditch along Range Road 213, just off Highway 16, on Sunday afternoon. Strathcona County RCMP responded at about 9 a.m. on Saturday, and found a deceased man in the area, police said in a news release. Two residents who live in the area told CBC News that a neighbour discovered a body along the road on Saturday morning. On Sunday afternoon, RCMP had blocked off a portion of the range road as they continued to dig through both sides of the ditch.
