MONCTON, N.B.—A residential area in Moncton, N.B., has been closed off for several hours as police try to make contact with a man who may be armed inside a home. Aurele Pelletier says officers have blocked off several roads in the area since 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Pelletier says the man is believed to be alone in the residence and police are dealing with the situation as if he is armed. Officers remained at the scene into the night, but police have yet to make contact with the suspect.
