Under this new system, students will be given two opportunities to appear for board exams. Those who pass can opt to reappear in up to three subjects during the second exam, likely to be held between May and June, in order to improve their scores. However, students who fail in more than three subjects will not be allowed to take the second exam in the same academic year and will need to reappear the following year. Both attempts will cover the full syllabus, with no changes to the existing study or exam pattern, giving students an additional chance to perform better.
