Not many, as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) would come to know when its monetary policy committee (MPC) meets next week to review its policy stance and rates. Falling prices of cauliflowers and other vegetables have brought down headline retail inflation to a four-month low of 4.44% in February. Vegetable prices have softened further in March and the inflation reading is expected to be benign for the month as well. Vegetable prices have been more volatile recently with sharp spikes and drops. Vegetable prices in all probability would begin climbing as they seasonally do during the months of monsoon.
