RAB also detained seven people including Belayet Hossain, the owner of the factory called Moonstar Marketing Private Ltd, located in Shimrai of Siddhirganj upazila in Narayanganj. Confirming the matter, Palash Kumar Basu, executive magistrate of the RAB-9 mobile court, said the factory has been supplying their goods to the capital’s Chawkbazar and other markets across the country. The use of Methanol in fragrances requires licences from the Department of Narcotics Control and Department of Environment, but they failed to show these papers," Palash said. Detained Belayet Hossain claimed he had all the papers but the mobile court refused to take a look at them.
