The Anasarullah Bangla Team was planning a jail break to free its leader Jasim Uddin Rahmani from Kashimpur prison in Gazipur, it said on Saturday. "They were planning an attack on the Kashimpur prison to free Jasim Uddin Rahmani. The elite police unit claimed that Swapan was planning an ambush when the jail authorities transport Rahmani and other militants leaders to court. Swapan, who worked at a garment factory, became a follower of Rahmani in 2014 after hearing his sermons on the internet, claimed RAB. "Swapan started to recruit operatives in Gazipur and gradually was given the responsibility of the chief coordinator of the district," reads the RAB statement.
