Two suspected militant recruiters of a new faction of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (New JMB) have been arrested from Sabujbagh and Wari areas in Dhaka. Two Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) teams arrested the militants of the Sarwar-Tamim group on Wednesday during raids, said RAB 11 Operation Officer Additional SP Shakil Ahmed. Both arrestees – Md Gias Uddin, 34, and Md Liton, 34 – are accused in two cases filed with the Rupganj and Bandar police stations in Narayanganj. In 2012, he was hired to cook by banned outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team’s (ABT) spiritual leader Jasim Uddin Rahmania. Arif had invited him to join New JMB’s Sarwar-Tamim group.
