The elite police identified the suspects as Imran Ahmed and Shamim Mia who were held in Rupganj Upazila of Narayanganj on Saturday night. Imran led the JMB’s Dhaka metropolitan unit. Md Mizanur Rahman, assistant director at the RAB headquarters, said the duo belonged to the Sarwar-Tamim group of the militant outfit. A firearm, two bullets and some jihadi books were seized from their possession, he said adding that details of the raid would be disclosed at a media briefing later on Sunday.
