Mizanur Rahman, 37, and Ibrahim Shahjahan, 30, were arrested in Sayedabad around 8:30pm Tuesday, RAB-11 Commander Lt Col Kamrul Hasan told bdnews24.com. The suspects are followers of the Sarwar-Tamim group, a revived faction of JMB, and are charged of militancy in multiple cases filed with Narayanganj police, he said. The JMB came into the limelight by claiming responsibility for around 500 simultaneous bomb explosions at 300 locations across the country in 2005. The government banned the outfit and executed its top leaders, Shaykh Abdur Rahman and Siddiqul Islam alias Bangla Bhai. The RAB identifies the same outfit by the name, Sarwar-Tamim group.
