Andy Farrell would have loved to have gone back to the Aviva Stadium with his team to watch Caelan Doris lift the Six Nations. A veteran of professional sport, he won’t define the team’s Six Nations through the prism of a Thomas Ramos kick in Paris. The head coach is balancing a couple of different goals at once and, when he assessed the tournament he spoke with satisfaction about the capacity for a pretty new-look, refreshed team to pull off a win when there was something on the line.
