Star Proteas batsman Quinton de Kock has been nominated for the International Cricket Council's (ICC) player of the month for June after his stellar performances against the West Indies. The New Zealand pair helped steer their side to a Test series victory in England and a win last month's inaugural World Test Championship title. Meanwhile, England spinner Sophie Ecclestone, India all-rounder Sneh Rana and India batter Shafali Verma were nominated for June's ICC women's award. The shortlist is then voted on by the independent ICC Voting Academy and fans around the world. The ICC Voting Academy comprises prominent members of the cricket fraternity including well-known journalists, former players, broadcasters and members of the ICC Hall of Fame.
