While the allegations linger and internal investigations continue into the past conduct of Calgary Flames head coach Bill Peters, there is an even bigger question worth asking to the franchise, its general manager and its owners. Peters, who was the only person to be interviewed by Treliving, resigned as head coach of the Hurricanes on a Friday. Peters became the 19th head coach in Flames history. And it would seem that it’s all but a formality that the team will soon have its 20th head coach. But the latest in the Flames’ whirlwind week was Wednesday’s admission by Carolina boss Rod Brind’Amour, who was Peters’ assistant coach through his four seasons as head coach.
