Queenstown plans campervan self-isolation areas

Photo: Getty ImagesThe Queenstown Lakes District Council is looking at "contingency locations" for visitors in campervans who need to self-isolate. Acting emergency management controller Peter Hansby said the council's emergency management team was considering the "many challenges" self-isolation could present. While, to date, the council had not seen a demand for campervan self-isolation areas "we need to be prepared depending on how this outbreak unfolds". Mr Hansby said anyone who needed to self-isolate may need support to get through the 14 days, but particularly the more vulnerable, like the elderly.
