ScotRail failed in 22 out of 34 areas in the final quarter of the last financial year, with Queen Street station in Glasgow found to be the most unpopular station in the UK. Transport Focus, an independent monitor, surveyed 28,000 people at 56 stations and found that only 58 per cent of travellers said that they were satisfied with Queen Street, which is Scotland’s third busiest station and is undergoing a £100 million redevelopment. ScotRail’s performance is measured by Transport Scotland through quarterly figures called the Service Quality Incentive Regime (Squire).
