The Quebec City mosque that was the site of a mass shooting two years ago has become the target of hate speech, and now, a physical confrontation, its members say. The community is calling on police to investigate the incident as a hate crime. As the exchange escalated, the suspect assaulted a man outside the mosque, said police spokesperson Sandra Dion. Mosque president Mohamed Labidi said the suspect in Saturday's incident was saying hateful things to those outside the mosque. MNA Éric Caire said the Muslim community is being targeted.
