Reading from a written statement, the 28-year-old addressed a Quebec City courtroom filled with the victim's families, survivors and their supporters Wednesday. Psychiatrist Sylvain Faucher met with Bissonnette that evening, and told Huot on Wednesday he believed Bissonnette was capable of making such a decision. A hushed silence overtook Quebec City's largest courtroom the moment Bissonnette walked into the prisoner's box. Amir Belkacemi, the son of Khaled Belkacemi, says he was surprised and relieved that Quebec City mosque shooter Alexandre Bissonnette pleaded guilty to all charges. Crown prosecutor Thomas Jacques said the prosecution was not consulted before Bissonnette made the decision to enter his guilty pleas.
