Egypt has not seen a change in the Qatari foreign policy that might lead to solving the diplomatic crisis between the two countries, Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said. This came in response to a question to a statement made by Shoukry during his visit to Kuwait regarding Egypt’s willingness to end the crisis with Qatar if Qatar changes its policy. Shoukry said that Qatar continues to embrace extremist figures, which goes against the interests of Arab countries. He also accused Qatar of continuing to interfere with the internal affairs of Arab countries. Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain initiated a diplomatic boycott against Qatar in May 2017.
