For Hedge Funds, the synonymity ties back to those halcyon days when the first hedge funds used to actually hedge their portfolios against risk. According to Hedge Fund Research (HFR), fund liquidation rose and exceeded fund launches, with 174 funds liquidating (20% more than launched) for the first time in four quarters. However, within the digital asset world, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has not approved a digital asset ETF offering, yet. However, within the new digital asset space, the term Hedge Fund has seemingly lost its meaning -- the Hedge has been lost behind the bushes. Therefore, it’s time we put the “Hedge” back in Hedge Fund!
