Devolution CS Mwangi Kiunjuri has urged media owners to ensure all journalists, including correspondents, have medical cover. Correspondents need the cover because many are exposed to dangerous situations, including demonstrations and cattle rustling. Kiunjuri spoke on Monday at the burial of Nyeri Standard journalist Job Weru, 37, who died after a short illness. He said journalists and police are professionals most exposed to occupational hazards. Weru leaves behind widow Ann Muringo and two daughters.
