It is understood Purvis has sustained injuries to the shoulder area, though the exact extend of her injuries are unknown. The incident that lead to Purvis’ crash was caused by a rival horse, Matai Jetstar, running inwards and restricting runners the room of horses inside him, Tidmarsh said. Neither the mobile barrier nor the rain affected Waikouaiti was to blame for the crash, he said.
