Politicians and colleges complain about costs and student debt, but their only idea is forcing taxpayers to finance more of both. They ought to look to Purdue University, which has better ideas. Against all the trends in higher education, tuition at the Indiana public university won’t rise for the 2020-21 academic year—the eighth in a row that tuition has been held flat. This means that after inflation a Purdue education costs less than what it did in 2012.
