Total provin­cial revenu­e estima­ted at Rs388.4 billio­nPunjab Finance Minister Makhdoom Hashim Bakht presented on Friday the provincial budget with a total outlay of over Rs2,300 billion for the next fiscal year. Rs350 billion have been allotted for development, whereas Rs1.71 trillion earmarked for non-development expenditure. Bakht said general revenue receipts for financial year 2019-20 were estimated at Rs1,990 billion, while the province was expected to get Rs1,601.46 billion under the National Finance Commission award. The total provincial revenue was estimated at Rs388.4 billion, he added. Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar chaired a provincial cabinet meeting, which approved the Punjab budget for the upcoming financial year prior to start of the budget session.
