Farmers under the banner of Bharti Kisan Union (Dakaunda) will begin their five-day dharna outside the DC office in Barnala on Monday. Farmers, who will protest come from across the state. “Our main focus is to free farmers from debt so that suicide cases come down. We have made adequate sleep and cooking arrangements for the protest,” said Manjit Singh Dhaner, a state leader. Once this is over, district level dharnas will be launched across the state from May 24 and will continue till May 28.
