Punjab Police along with the Border Security Force (BSF) shot two Pakistani drug peddlers while another was arrested in Sowana border outpost in Fazilka. Two more smugglers reportedly from Taran Tarn , who were present to receive a consignment, have also been arrested. “This is the first time a Pakistani smuggler has been arrested alive,” said SSP Fazilka Narinder Bhargav. The BSF, during the operation, seized 15 kg of heroin along with arms and ammunition. Sources said a flag meeting was held between India and Pakistan Sunday where the matter was raised, but Pakistan refused to acknowledge the bodies.
