The latest addition to the Taranaki Regional Council run park is a rainforest treehouse, known as the Piwakawaka Family Hut. The hut sits on the lower slopes of Mt Taranaki and it’s designed to give families a taste of a backcountry mountain hut, without the need for hours of walking.
