Proposals for an outdoor dining area in Killarney, announced earlier this year, have gone out to public consultation this week. However, construction will not start on the project until late September or October with the view to having the new dining area completed by the end of the year given the planning process that must be undertaken. Fáilte Ireland announced a new Outdoor Dining Enhancement Investment Scheme, in partnership with local authorities, earlier this year which included working with Councils to implement weather-proofing solutions to facilitate year-round outdoor dining.
