KUALA LUMPUR: A special allocation for Islamic religious schools will be announced in the 2018 Budget, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said. Sectors that contribute to the nation’s growth, particularly the gross national income and welfare of the people, would also be given consideration in the budget, he said. "At the same time certain sectors that we need to give impetus we will announce in the budget. "The Supreme Council feels that the much-awaited 2018 Budget would bring a positive impact to the country's mood." He added that the Supreme Council had given their views and suggestions for the upcoming budget announcement, set for Oct 27.
