Province admits 'gaps' in plan to sell cannabis through 9 NSLC outlets


Halifax home to pot-only outletNova Scotia had announced in December that cannabis would be sold alongside beer, wine and spirits at some Nova Scotia Liquor Corp. locations. The Nova Scotia Liquor Corp. is only initially making pot available at nine of its more than 100 retail outlets. The NSLC's 60 agency stores, which are mostly in smaller, rural communities, will not be allowed to sell marijuana. Justice Minister Mark Furey and NSLC president Brett Mitchell both say they don't immediately expect marijuana sales to turn a profit for the province.
