Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga now says that the planned Tuesday protests will go on despite an assassination plot against him. According to the opposition leader, the assassination plot is being orchestrated by senior officials of the Kenya Kwanza administration. "The warnings have included repeated threats of assassination of Azimio leaders from Mr. Rigathi Gachagua and Mr Moses Kuria. The Azimio protests are scheduled to take place on May 2. On Saturday, President William Ruto swore that he will use his powers to stop their planned protests.
