Demonstrations rocked most of the major towns in Nyandarua on Thursday afternoon following claims a woman representative hopeful rigged nominations. Supporters of Nyandarua woman representative Wanjiku Muhia claimed Jubilee Party nominee Faith Gitau 'stole' the vote. "Nyandarua decided to vote Muhia back so she can complete projects including the Nyandarua Cancer Centre. We demand that JP hands her the certificate because we know Nyandarua elected her." Their protests took place in Ol Kalou, Miharati, Ndunyu njeru, Engineer, Njabini and Flyover where Muhia has a large following.
