So far, protest marches have been held in Aurangabad, Osmanabad, Jalgaon, Beed, Parbhani, Hingoli, and Nanded. The protest marches in Hingoli on 17 September were attended by thousands. Deepak Pawar, professor of political science at Mumbai university, said the protest of this scale could not be spontaneous. To claim Sharad Pawar is behind this show of protest would be glorifying Pawar. If he really had this potential to mobilise protest marches of thousands of people at so many places, then he would have won the previous election,” said Deepak Pawar.
