The police announced on Saturday that a policeman initially reported dead on the first day of the #EndBadGovernance nationwide protests has “miraculously survived” but remains in critical condition. Force spokesman Muyiwa Adejobi revealed that nine police officers sustained various degrees of injuries during the protests. Additionally, a total of 681 suspects have been arrested for various violent crimes across several states, including Abuja, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Nasarawa, and Sokoto. The #EndBadGovernance protests, initiated against economic hardship and scheduled for ten days, continued into their third day on Saturday, with determined youths insisting that President Bola Tinubu address their demands.
