Scammers are becoming increasingly sophisticated in their methods of targeting unsuspecting individuals, especially the elderly. Richard Globe, a 76-year-old man from Mossley Hill, recently shared his harrowing experience of being scammed out of nearly £1,000. To protect yourself from scam calls, always be skeptical of unsolicited calls demanding money or personal information. While some banks are proactive in refunding scam victims, there is no legal obligation for them to do so.
