A former employee of OpenSea, the world’s largest marketplace for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) used for inside information on what assets to create “free money”, will display on its homepage, a Prosecutors said Monday the trial wound up as an insider trading. Prosecutors have described it as the first criminal insider trading case involving such assets. Prosecutor Thomas Burnett said in his closing argument that Chastain chose which NFTs to feature, and then illegally profited by selling her tokens shortly thereafter. “He was using OpenSea information like his piggy bank,” Burnett told the jury. “It was as good as free money.”Chastain’s attorneys were expected to make their final arguments later on Monday.
