Fuel duty was reduced by 5p in 2022 in response to the Ukraine invasion. It would mark the first increase in fuel duty for 16 years. ‌The increase, taking duty to 58p a litre, would see this rise by £3,400 over the same period, making a lifetime spend of £39,708.
