Monies are included in this legislation that President Donald Trump had proposed to cut in his mid-March budget message. The legislation includes $3.8 billion for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Agency to help address the opioid addiction crisis. The Northern Border Regional Commission that the president proposed to eliminate is funded at $10 million, its previous level. “This bipartisan funding bill that we are considering is an example of how compromise should work in Washington,” said Congresswoman Annie Kuster.
